Tri-Card Poker is played with one 52-card deck which is reshuffled after each completed hand. Tri-Card Poker features two games, the main game and the Pair Plus side bet.
The objective in the main game is to receive a higher 3-card poker hand than the dealer.
The objective of the Pair Plus game is simply to bet on whether you will receive a 3-card poker hand with any pair or better. The Player may bet on either the main game or on both games.
As each hand contain three cards the way of forming a poker hand differentiates from the conventional standards, below follows a list of the possible hands that can be formed and their rank.
The dealer needs a queen high or better to qualify.
In case the dealer does not qualify you will win even money on the ante bet and the play bet will push. If the dealer does qualify and your hand is of higher value both Ante and Play bet will pay even money. In case the player receives a Straight, 3 of a kind or a Straight flush there is an Ante bonus that pays out regardless of the outcome of the game. The ante bonus paytable is listed below.
If the dealer does qualify, and has a hand of higher poker value than you, both Ante and Play bet will lose.
If the dealer qualifies and the hands are of equal poker value, both Ante and Play bet will push.
| Ante Bonus Paytable | |
|---|---|
| Straight flush | 5 to 1 |
| 3 of a kind | 4 to 1 |
| Straight | 1 to 1 |
Tri card poker features an optional side bet called Pairplus Bet. The Pairplus side bet is winning if a pair or greater is dealt to the player on the flop. The Pair Plus bet is a separate bet that is not measured against the dealer's hand. It is instead paid out based on the rank of the hand dealt. If you bet on the ante and fold the hand, the Pair Plus bet is also forfeited. Below is a list of the payouts on the pairplus side bet.
| pairplus side bet | |
|---|---|
| Straight flush | 40 to 1 |
| 3 of a kind | 30 to 1 |
| Straight | 6 to 1 |
| Flush | 4 to 1 |
| Pair | 1 to 1 |
In order to play you need to place a bet. To place a bet you must first select which chip value you would like your chips to have when you place them on the table, they can be found in the middle of the bottom bar, left-clicking a chip value will select it. Once a chip value is selected you must click within the ante area to place a bet. You can also place a Pairplus bet, placing a Pairplus bet means you bet that you will receive at least a pair on the deal. Once favorable bets have been placed you're ready to press DEAL.
The dealer will hand out three cards face up to you, and three cards face-down to the dealer. Once the cards have been dealt you're left with two options, either fold or bet. Pressing the FOLD button will result in a forfeit of your cards and ante bet. A BET will result in a bet equal to your initial bet being placed within the bet area on the table. The game ends once you've folded or betted and the dealer has turned over his cards and compared his hand to yours, the hand with the highest value wins.
